Bunakken and Lembeh
In 2022, we journeyed from Switzerland to Bunaken and Lembeh in Indonesia, captivating dive destinations. Despite the long travel, the anticipation of diving in these renowned spots made it worthwhile. Our adventure began with a four-night stay on Bunaken Island, followed by a scenic boat transit to Lembeh Strait for five nights of unparalleled diving experiences.
Bunaken Island, in the heart of the Bunaken National Marine Park, boasts a vibrant underwater ecosystem that attracts divers worldwide. Pristine coral reefs teemed with marine life, including colorful reef fish, sea turtles, and fascinating macro critters. The crystal-clear waters and impressive visibility allowed us to appreciate Bunaken’s incredible biodiversity.
Continuing to Lembeh Strait, the renowned «Critter Capital,» we thrilled in exploring its exceptional macro diving opportunities. Elusive frogfish, camouflaged octopuses, peculiar nudibranchs, and rare seahorses mesmerized us on every dive. Lembeh Strait truly lived up to its reputation as a paradise for macro photographers and critter enthusiasts.
